This grant supports the Berman Institute of Bioethics’ “Visions of Hope II” project, which aims to improve the quality of health care for young people suffering from the chronic, life-threatening disorders of Duchenne muscular dystrophy and sickle cell disease by training clinicians treating these patients to integrate values such as respect, empathy, and trust and principles of palliative care into their work.
