This grant supports the Engineering Humanitarian Action Initiative, which launched in 2020 as a partnership between ETH Zürich’s ETH for Development, EPF Lausanne’s EssentialTech Center, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to incubate scientific and technological innovations that improve delivery of critical services to people affected by humanitarian crises. The initiative will identify promising research that addresses challenges in humanitarian response, develop scalable solutions based on it, and train stakeholders to encourage adoption of innovative approaches.
