Last week, New Yorkers were able to enjoy New York Public Library’s brand new central circulating branch in Manhattan, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library (SNFL), for the first time.
The library, fully redesigned with support from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), has partially opened its first floor to offer limited grab-n-go service. Browsing the stacks and enjoying the library’s other resources—including midtown’s only free public rooftop, a business center, and an adult learning center—will have to wait for the library’s full opening, expected to follow in late 2020.
